Kathmandu: After days of continuous rain, relief is in sight as the weather is expected to gradually improve across Nepal starting today. According to Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari from the Hydrology and Weather Forecast Division, the ongoing rain will diminish, although some parts of the country may experience light to moderate rain.

"Today marks the cessation of continuous rain, with the possibility of sporadic light to moderate rainfall in certain areas," Adhikari stated. Additionally, he warned of potential windstorms in select locations of the Madhes and Lumbini provinces during the afternoon.

Overnight, heavy rainfall was recorded in several spots within the Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces. Presently, rain is occurring in a few regions of the Koshi province and a couple of spots in other provinces.

The latest weather bulletin issued by the Division indicates a likelihood of light to moderate rain in the Kathmandu Valley today. As the weather gradually improves across the nation, the continuous rainfall is set to wane, providing much-needed respite from the recent wet spell.
